About Climatepeace
Climatepeace is an independent, founder-led initiative working between South Africa and Europe. It combines the early identification and preliminary screening of renewable-energy opportunities with press, advocacy and independent analysis of the wider energy transition.
Climatepeace promotes practical and economically sustainable decarbonisation across electricity, heating and cooling, mobility and transport, buildings and industry. Its interests include energy efficiency, electrification, renewable energy, energy storage, sustainable fuels and sustainable fertilisers.
Climatepeace examines affordable pathways to mitigate climate change, including net-zero strategies and pathways towards 100% renewable energy systems. Its approach considers energy security, resilience, sustainable economic development and the needs of affected communities.
Practical experience with renewable-energy opportunities that proved difficult to advance has shaped Climatepeace’s approach: identify major constraints early, define realistic next steps, avoid unrealistic promises, and connect promising opportunities with appropriately qualified investors, independent power producers and specialists.
