Climatepeace respects your privacy and processes personal information only where reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries, assess potential opportunities and conduct its press, advocacy, research and project-related activities.
Information we collect
When you use the Climatepeace enquiry form, we may collect your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, organisation, location and the information you choose to provide about your enquiry or opportunity.
Please do not submit confidential documents, identity numbers, financial details, health information or other sensitive personal information unless appropriate written arrangements have first been agreed.
How we use your information
Climatepeace may use the information to:
• review and respond to your enquiry;
• conduct an initial assessment of an opportunity;
• communicate with you about possible next steps;
• maintain appropriate administrative and enquiry records; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.
Information is processed for these purposes on the basis of your request and consent and, where applicable, Climatepeace’s legitimate interests in assessing and responding to enquiries.
Sharing of information
Climatepeace does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers used to operate the website and enquiry form, including Google, or with suitable professional or project partners where this is necessary and appropriate. Information identifying you will not ordinarily be shared with potential partners without your permission, unless required by law.
International processing
Climatepeace operates between South Africa and Europe and uses online services that may process or store information in other countries. Reasonable steps will be taken to protect personal information when it is processed across borders.
Retention and security
Enquiry information will normally be reviewed or deleted within 24 months after the last meaningful contact. It may be retained for longer where an opportunity or working relationship proceeds, or where legal, contractual or record-keeping obligations apply.
Reasonable measures are used to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. However, no internet transmission or online storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.

External services
This website and its enquiry form are provided using Google Sites and Google Forms. Google may process technical information in accordance with its own privacy policies.
Changes
This notice may be updated when Climatepeace’s activities, services or legal obligations change.
